This item for sale is a reproduction of a E Howard # 70 weight driven wall clock case. This design is one of the earlier designs as it has the "ears" below the bezel on the left and right. I measured a old Howard clock that customer brought in for restoration. This case is available in oak, walnut, cherry, and sometimes mahogany. The cases are entirely hand made, the bezels are made of 8 pieces of wood laminated together as were the origionals, and hand turned on the lathe. The bottom door has the splines on the corners as did the origionals. The bottom glass is hand done by Lee Davis, and is done in 23 karat gold, not a cheap silk screen. Hinges and door catches are solid brass. I think the photos tell more than I can say. The case measures 31 1/4 inches tall, and the bezel is 15 1/2 inches in diameter.
