This item for sale is an unfinshed Seth Thomas #2 clock case. This case is made from solid wood, the only veneer is the back. As you know the veneer is the weak point of these clocks, especially the bezels. The bezel is made from 16 pieces as were the original bezels, all hand turned on the lathe. You can use this case to install the old works you have, or buy a new set of works, dial, pendulum etc, and make your own clock. The dimensions are the same as the old clocks, so all old parts or reproduction parts will fit. This one has the 3 piece bottom as did the clocks from the late 1800's time period. I also have this clock with the 1 piece base. See the photos. The case is 36 1/2 inches tall, 15 3/4 inches wide, and 5 3/8 deep. The brass ring to hold the glass is included. The bottom door lock uses the same key as does the movement. I have this case in mahagony, walnut, and cherry.Photos of finished clocks are shown. Email me crescentclock@yahoo for more info. For a finished case add $150.00
